Summary

Jason Enos, owner of Enos Vineyards, is a native of California, and lives in one of California’s most important wine regions, the Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County. Jason’s interest in wine spans his entire adult life. After studying enology at university, he launched into an entrepreneurial career in the food and restaurant business, working for Lee Bassian (co-owner of Bassian Farms) to help chefs from all over the world source ingredients for their cuisine. His success in technology opened the door to realizing his dream: To return to his roots in food and wine, and to produce outstanding wines in one of the great appellations of California. His dream was realized when he purchased an 8-acre estate in the hills overlooking the Dry Creek Valley outside of Healdsburg, California.

Jason works with Dan Fitzgerald to produce some of the areas most exciting wines. Dan’s winemaking career began just a few miles from Enos Vineyards, working harvest in the Dry Creek Valley of Sonoma County. Dan has worked in both hemisphere’s and at esteemed estates such as Williams-Selyem, Coldstream in Yarra Valley, Arcana, Robert Sinskey Vineyards. The intensity of the work; the diversity of tasks; the camaraderie and teamwork; the science and the art that are all part of vinifying grapes – these are what resonated with Dan – and that first crush in 2002 became a defining moment that would shape the course of his career.
