Summary
Château Matignon is an organic vineyard in Libourne in the Saint-Émilion AOC on the right bank of the Bordeaux region.
Jean-Marie Bouldy, the owner of Château Bellegrave (Pomerol), began renting the vineyard in 1993, first from its then owner, a Monsieur Matignon (who died in 2015) and then from 2000 from the Ville de Libourne. In 2001 Jean-Marie Bouldy bought Monsieur Matignon’s estate and subsequently converted the property to organic agriculture.
