Summary

Tenuta Tamburnin is located in Castelnuovo Don Bosco situated in the province of Asti, about 20 km east of Turin and about 10 km from Chieri- specifically in Basso Monferrato Astigiano.

The estate was named by its founder- Mr. Tamburnin, who was inspired by the drums (or “tamburi”) that were traditionally played as the royal army of Savoy advanced, in order to spur on the infantry troops under attack from their enemies.

Since 2004 the property has been owned and operated by the Gaidano family with sisters Elena, Valeria and Claudia Gaidano taking care of all operations. Tamburnin has a total of 20 hectares with 9 under vine and the remainder planted with chestnut trees, gardens, and a protective forest. The farming practices have always respected the environment and organic certification was officially granted in 2020.

The property has been listed as a heritage site of historical and scenic interest, and they are proud founding members of the Albugnano 549 Winemakers Association, which was founded in 2017 with the aim of promoting the Albugnano DOC territory and its wine.
