Alpine White

VARIETALS
Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Gruner Veltliner

NOTES
VINEYARD: Alpine White is grown on the shoulder of an old volcano in the Cascade Range where three neighboring vineyards - Light Anthology (Loop de Loop's home vineyard), Pear Ridge, and Wannamaker - rise between 1000 and 1600 ft asl. The vineyards are farmed organically, with no-till practices, and dry farming made possible by deep, moisture-holding soils. The sandy, ashy, "buckshot" loam - decomposed volcanic glass and ash, peppered with buckshot-sized pellets of basalt topped with windblown glacial loess - gives rise to wines with floral lift, vibrant acidity, and a savory, mineral finish. Biodynamic farming practices employed in all three vineyards.

FARMING: Biodynamic, Organic, Regenerative Organic, Vegan

VINIFICATION: After foot-treading and 12 hours of skin contact, the grapes were co-fermented in neutral barrels. Aged 10 months on the lees in neutral French oak barrels.
